On Saturday July 29, from 11am – 2pm, the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce is proudly hosting a fun, new, family event, during the annual Sidewalk Sale. It’s KIDS, RIGS & HEROES! Come and meet our community heroes and explore some of their cool vehicles, cars and trucks.

The Highland Park Police Department, Highland Park Fire Department, Highland Park Department of Public Works, the United States Marine Corps, and KEYTH Security will have vehicles for the children to explore and personnel onsite to meet and greet the children. Check out a Fire Truck, Police Cruiser, Police Ambulance, Humvee Gun Truck, Construction Vehicle and Superhero Vans!

“This is a great opportunity for our children to meet and talk with some of the everyday heroes in our community. The men and women who keep us safe daily, work to keep our community running smoothly, and serve and protect our country – they are all heroes,” says Ginny Glasner, Chamber President & CEO. She added, “Who can resist a cool Fire Engine or Humvee?”

The event will take place at the Central Avenue East/S Parking Lot, located about one block east of St. Johns Avenue on the south side of street. It’s Free. It’s Fun. It’s for the Family!
