Since 1906, The Chicago Lighthouse has been a beacon of hope providing vision care, rehabilitation, education, employment and assistive technology for the blind, visually impaired, disabled and Veteran communities. Stop by First Bank of Highland Park throughout November to view a month-long exhibition featuring The Chicago Lighthouse and learn more about their 40 unique programs and services which support more than 67,000 people, of all ages, each year. No one is ever turned away who cannot afford the Lighthouse?s services.
On display, as part of this special November exhibition, is a one-of a-kind lighthouse statue that was part of the hugely successful outdoor public art display titled Lighthouses on the Mag Mile? which featured 51 six-foot lighthouse sculptures created by national and local Chicago artists, many with disabilities.
