Managing Forced Change

Managing Forced Change

Managing Forced Change

It’s a whole new world out there, one in which there are so many unknowns. You may feel, as I sometimes have, that we are experiencing a "Great Pause". So, how do you manage forced change in your business?

Wednesday's program on Navigating Uncertain Times, focused on answering this and other questions. While the program was directed toward non-profit strategic planning and budgeting, the fact is that any business – whether for-profit or non-profit – can adapt and benefit from the advice shared. A few tips:

  • Incorporate best practices around change management
  • Establish clear, honest, and authentic communication with your employees
  • Take emotions out of number crunching
  • Build action plans around likely scenarios
  • Innovate for long-term staying power

As your Chamber of Commerce, we work to influence community well-being and economic prosperity. Providing access to experts and resources is one of the ways we do this. You can access the recording of yesterday's session HERE.
