Pass the Pineapple: Non-Prickly Networking
Are you a work-from-home parent looking to connect with other work-from-home parents? Welcome to Pass the Pineapple, the Parent Edition.
Here’s how Pass the Pineapple works:
- Doors open at 9am for attendees to arrive, sign in, grab a morning treat and mingle. Resist the urge to pass out business cards at this time.
- At 9:30am sharp we settle in a circle to Pass the Pineapple. With the pineapple (no, not a real one) in hand, each person introduces themselves and shares an “ask” and a “give”. An ask might be “I need MailChimp help” or “I’m looking for a meal planning service”. A give might be “I’m really good at Gmail hacks” or “I have a part-time nanny looking for more work”. (We’ll also take notes and share via email after the event.)
- After working our way around the circle, it’s time to get up and connect with those you may be able to help, or whose help you need.
- At 11am, the event ends, and you've made inroads to building authentic new relationships!
