Chamber President Glasner Announces Retirement

After almost 19 years at the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce, President & CEO Ginny Glasner is retiring at the end of 2022.

In a statement to the board, Ginny shared her thoughts on her service to the business community in Highland Park.

"Being in the Chamber industry means you are passionate about your community. As the President & CEO of the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce for the past nearly 19 years, I’ve had the honor and pleasure to work with so many board members, members, volunteers, and community leaders. I am proud of all that we have accomplished together for our business community. So, it is bittersweet for me to announce my retirement effective December 31, 2022. It is now time for me to pass the baton to a new President & CEO to move the Chamber’s strategic objectives forward.”

Under Ginny's leadership, the Highland Park Chamber has grown in many ways:

implementing best practices
expanding business education and professional development
taking a bigger role in business advocacy to represent our members
positioning the Highland Park Chamber within state and national associations
leading collaborative partnerships, and so much more.

When asked what retirement looks like for Ginny, she stated with a big smile, "I am looking forward to traveling, spending time with family and friends all around the country, and enjoying leisure pursuits with my husband and sons. I am able to leave knowing that the Chamber will be in capable hands with our strong Board and incoming new Board members."

The Chamber Board of Directors will be forming a transition committee. All questions may be directed to Board Chair Ken Henry.
