Highland Park, IL February 18, 2023 – Highland Park IL Chamber of Commerce today announced that Lori Rubin Dekalo has been named as President and Chief Executive Officer.
 
Lori has more than 25 years of experience as a consultant and business owner focusing on strategic planning, project management, and execution. Her experiences also include over ten years serving on Boards of Directors in the Chicagoland area. Prior to coming to the Chamber, she was the founder and principal of a consultancy that served startups and small businesses.
 
“I am very excited to be joining the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce team,” said Lori. “I believe Highland Park is in a unique position to capitalize on the changing (and challenging) times in the North Shore and regain its strength as a destination city. And, as the city continues to heal after the horrific mass shooting on July 4, 2022, the Chamber will work hard to reposition itself for growth by providing education for businesses, creative networking, collaboration, and more across all the business districts in Highland Park and with all the other area Chambers of Commerce as well.”
 
Lori adds that “I’ve lived in this community for over 30 years, raised and educated my kids here, have lifelong friendships that really stepped up for me and my family through very hard times of loss, and have been with us through thick and thin. I don’t take any of this for granted. It’s an amazing community with a huge heart and a caring soul. I will serve the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce, the board, its members, and the whole community with the heart, soul, and business sense that I was raised with and will continue to pay it forward.”
 
Lori received a BA Degree in Communications from Loyola University, Chicago, and an MSC from Northwestern University.
