Midwest Young Artists Conservatory's Halloween Concerts
Midwest Young Artists Conservatory (MYAC) invites you to enjoy an afternoon of music from Chicago’s exceptional youth. The tent at the MYAC center in Fort Sheridan will be filled with music from our orchestras and choruses to launch the 2021/22 season of large ensemble concerts. The day of music begins with MYAC’s youngest ensembles at 1:00pm. There are additional concerts at 2:00pm and 3:00pm, and the Symphony Orchestra begins their performance of Halloween favorites at 4:30pm. The full lineup of MYAC ensembles includes five orchestras and four choirs. Music lovers of all ages will be inspired by the diverse programs. “We hope concert goers will enjoy this spooky concert that will be fun for the whole family.” said Allan Dennis, Founder and President of MYAC, “Everyone will be in Halloween Dress and our musicians are very excited to be performing a selection of spooky music, including music from Fantasia. The audience will have a chance to participate as well, during each concert they will vote for the most spooky Halloween costume worn by a performing musician. In addition, we hope everyone will dress up in their best spooky costume as well! And if the musical treats are not enough, Halloween “treats” will be provided! No tricks, I promise!”
